A l'aide d'un modA]le de contrAle de sA(c)lection A trois A(c)tapes, nous avons parvenu aux rA(c)sultats qui rA(c)vA]lent que les coAts d'A(c)colage A la charge des mA(c)nages ont un impact nA(c)gatif sur la scolarisation des enfants au Cameroun. En plus, on note une forte disparitA(c) de l'ampleur de cet effet nA(c)gatif suivant les milieux de rA(c)sidence, le sexe et le niveau de revenu. L'A(c)lasticitA(c) de la demande d'A(c)ducation est plus forte pour les mA(c)nages les plus pauvres par rapport aux plus riches. Elle est encore plus forte pour les filles que pour les garAons.

La non scolarisation des enfants de 6-11 ans demeure A(c)levA(c)e au BA(c)nin malgrA(c) les politiques mises en oeuvre pour son A(c)radication. En effet, prA]s d'un quart de ces enfants ne frA(c)quentent pas l'A(c)cole (23.9%) en 2010 selon l'enquAate EMICoV(INSAE).
