Von dem Astronomen und Mathematiker Nicolaus Raimarus Ursus (1551-1600) wissen wir, dass er 1586/87 in Kassel eine fast vollstandige deutsche Ubersetzung von Nicolaus Copernicus' Hauptwerk "De revolutionibus orbium coelestium" angefertigt hat. Nach Raimarus' Weggang aus Kassel wurde die Ubersetzung von zwei anderen, namentlich bisher nicht identifizierten Autoren fertiggestellt. Heute befindet sich die Papierhandschrift als "Ms. 560" in der Universitatsbibliothek Graz.
