This is related to production and production technology of cotton. Cotton is leading worldwide fiber and cash crop that is grown commercially for agricultural and industrial purposes in the tropical and temperate region of more than fifty countries. Although cotton is mainly grown for fiber purpose but it has many valuable uses as its seed comprises of 30% starch, 25% crude oil and 16.2% protein. Current estimates for world production are about 25 million tons or 110 million bales annually, accounting for 2.5% of the worlds arable land.

This book is related to the predatory potential of biocontrol agent (Coccinelids) on different species of aphid. Results showed that the Coccinellids (without starvation) consumed more number of M. persicae than A.nerii. Coccinelids (with 24 hrs starvation) showed maximum aphid consumption on B. brassicae, followed by R. padi, S. graminum and M. persicae. The life duration of Coccinellids was maximum on A. nerii and B. brassicae (65 days) followed by M. persicae (64 days), S. graminum (58 days) and R. padi (56 days).

Crop residues are receiving considerable attention due to scarcity of green fodder. Efficient utilization of these crop residues by ruminants is hardly possible because these are high in fiber and low in protein.
