This study aimed to assess seminal sirt-1 in infertile men associated with varicocele (Vx). Patients and Methods: Overall, 54 men presented to the University hospitals after ethical approval and informed consent were investigated. They were allocated into; fertile men (n=14), infertile OAT men without Vx (n=23) and infertile OAT men with Vx (n=17). Inclusion criteria for the patients: Stable relationship, confirmed abnormal semen parameters and normal female partner. Exclusion criteria were; Leucocytospermia, hormonal therapy, immunological disorders, dyslipidemia, hypogonadism, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, morbid obesity, hepatic or renal failures. They were subjected to; history taking, clinical examination, semen analysis and estimation of seminal sirt-1by Western Blot technique. Seminal sirt-1 play a role of male infertility being significantly decreased in infertile men in general and in infertile men associated with Vx in specific.
