Der Band versammelt Beitrage, die in interdisziplinarer Perspektive Probleme mediavistischer Memoria-Forschung, die humanistische Memorialkultur wie auch das Erinnern in neuerer und neuester Literatur behandeln. Dabei konzentrieren sich die Studien zum einen auf die problemgeschichtliche Frage nach dem Verstandnis von "kulturellem Gedachtnis" und Identitat einerseits sowie Fiktionalitat andererseits.
