The acute lethal toxicity of heavy metals, viz., lead and manganese in potable water is detoxified using Low cost KAZAs carbons which were prepared from bio-waste materials. Adsorption onto commercial activated carbon is still an expensive one. This problem is inundated with these indigenously prepared carbons.
