Ce livre a pour objectif de mener une étude sur la liberté de l'individu concernant l'usage de substances stupéfiantes considérées comme illicites par le système juridique, compte tenu du caractère fragmentaire de l'application du droit pénal, qui devrait se limiter à sanctionner les pratiques considérées comme préjudiciables à la collectivité. À cette fin, il utilise l'analyse de certaines dispositions pénales concernant la lutte contre l'usage de substances stupéfiantes, en les confrontant aux dictats constitutionnels et aux principes fondés sur le droit pénal.

This book aims to conduct a study on the freedom of the individual regarding the use of narcotic substances considered illicit by the legal system, in view of the fragmentariness of the application of criminal law, which should be limited to sanction practices considered harmful to the community. To this end, it uses the analysis of some of the criminal provisions concerning the fight against the use of narcotic substances, contrasting them with the constitutional dictates and principles based on Criminal Law.
