SUSAN UEBEL was born in Anlaby, near Hull in 1939. She was educated at HullFrench Convent and later went on to train for Drama at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. She taught Speech & Drama atKelvin Hall School, Hull and remained there for eight years before leaving to study for a BA (Hons.) inDrama at Hull University.
