I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina in a family of Spanish immigrants. Spain, and the province of Galicia, figured prominently in my father's stories and I grew up fascinated by his far away land and family. My father spoke so lovingly and forlornly about his early life in Galicia that I built a fantasy world out of those stories where I would time and again seek refuge from reality.
