I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina in a family of Spanish immigrants. Spain, and the province of Galicia, figured prominently in my father's stories and I grew up fascinated by his far away land and family. My father spoke so lovingly and forlornly about his early life in Galicia that I built a fantasy world out of those stories where I would time and again seek refuge from reality. My family history inspires my work. A one sided inspiration since it was based only on my father's family, and also based on my imagination since I did not meet them until I was in my 20's and they have all since died. I was, and continue to be, obsessed with my Galician family and my memories and they keep my muse flowing.
