Neurokinin-1 (NK-1) receptor regulates many biological functions related to cancer, such as tumor cell proliferation, angiogenesis and migration of tumor cells for invasion and metastasis. The NK-1 receptor antagonists specifically inhibit tumor cell proliferation, migration of the tumor cells and show antiangiogenic effect.
