This book started as a biography of Ronald Pelham Knight, my father. 1916 - 2000. Born and lived his life in Cuckfield, Sussex. As the writing progressed it morphed into a 'dualography' when I entered the scene in 1944 while Ron Snr. was immersed in the battle for Europe. He was a regular soldier serving in Gibraltar when war broke out. His first action was as a passenger on a ship chasing the Bismarck. Landing on the beach at Normandy he took part in many of the landmarked battles such as the battle for Caens, the Ardennes, the Battle of the Bulge, and 'A bridge too far'. His story is one of...
