My book is about a Richmond, Virginia native and an avid NASCAR fan and it chronicles the history of NASCAR Racing from 1958 through 2010. It primarily focuses on the NASCAR Sprint Cup racing that took place at Martinsville Speedway, Richmond International Raceway, Daytona International Raceway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and Talladega Super Speedway. It starts out with the main character, Peter Gates as a twenty-nine year old Master Sergeant in the US Army serving in Vietnam from June 1966, to the summer of 1967.
