This is an introduction to current high resolution NMR practice. It provides the physical background to NMR spectroscopy from the point of view of the whole periodic table rather than concentrating on the narrow applications of 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Examples and many new problems, mainly from the recent inorganic /organometallic chemistry literature support the text throughout. Mathematics is kept to a minimum.
