Field and laboratory studies were carried out to determine efficacy of four insecticides viz., chlorpyrifos, alphacypermethrin, imidacloprid and bifenthrins+cypermethrin. Mortality was determined at predetermined time intervals at six concentrations of each insecticide under laboratory conditions compared with one control concentration. Chlorpyrifos 48 EC was the most effective followed by alphacypermethrin 10 SC, imidacloprid 5 EC and cypermethrin+bifenthrin 3.5 EC, having LT50 values 39.07h, 41.45h, 50.45h and 54.45h respectively.
