This case study investigates a teacher's teaching practices in a Chinese secondary school in an attempt to research what pedagogies a Chinese secondary English teacher employs in the classroom, what challenges the teacher meets when teaching English to Chinese secondary school students and how the teacher deals with the challenges that he faces.
