This book 'Queen Summer Or The Tourney Of The Lily And The Rose' was written and illustrated by Walter Crane and originally published in 1891. Between 1865-1875, Walter Crane designed for Warner and Routledge a tremendously successful series of fifty illustrated "Toy Books" sold for one penny each, due to their large print runs. The present edition gathers in a clean and elegant layout eight of the original stories as they were drawn by Crane, fully restored and enhanced: "The Three Bears," "Cinderella," "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves," "Little Red Riding Hood," "Valentine and Orson," "The Sleeping Beauty," "Bluebeard" and "Puss in Boots."
