This study aimed at exploring developmental changes in duration of vowels of Oriya language, which is one of the South Asian languages, spoken in Eastern India. The language has unique features of vowels which makes it marked. Vowel duration is one of the aspects among few others, which can signal to speech production disorders or failures at various levels of production.
