This work relates nonlinear narrative in H.D.s late long poems in three historical contexts: Melanie Klein's psychoanalysis of children (Trilogy), the revolutionary film aesthetic of Sergei Eisenstein (Helen in Egypt), and African decolonization (Hermetic Definition).
