This report mainly focuses on the technical feasibility of knitting of filament silk and spun silk yarns. Silk filament and spun silk yarn were knitted with different knit structures like single jersey, rib and interlock designs. Then, the produced samples were dyed with acid dyes. The spun silk and silk filament knitted dyed fabrics were tested for geometrical, mechanical, comfort and hand properties.
