Major factor of power loss in distribution system is resistance.Resistance of distribution system is large compare to transmission system.Therefore, 80% losses occurs in distribution system of total power supply. Ideally, losses in the power system should be around 3 % to 6%.In developed country it is not greater than 10%. However in developing countries its almost greater than double. Today's, utilities are also very much interested in reducing power loss to compete in the others competitive utilities.This book will finally prove that using network reconfiguration,power can be save up to 6.8% which means power saving is power generation.
