This book is a reflection of my feelings and the "Shadows of Man" everywhere. It reveals thoughts that the majority of us do not have the courage to say. Most of the selections in the first chapter were written in the late sixties but the anger expressed then is still prevalent today with a large degree of people enduring the same experiences. A lot of our society has not grown or changed over the years which makes these poems significant to today's anxieties. After expressions of anger, comes poems of love and reflections of hurt and pain that remains a part of life that all must experience at some point in time. The selection, Quentin, I feel is the height of humor and entertainment in this book. Then you have the continuation of a man, his son. He will always be a shadow of his father in how he taught him to be a man throughout life. His mannerisms, the way he speaks, facial expressions, demeanor, charisma, integrity, being respectful and how to carry himself are the various shadows casted through his poems of life. He is a reflection of the Shadows of "A" Man through his father.
