This Companion to Comparative Theology offers a survey of historical developments, contemporary approaches and future directions in a field of theology that has experienced rapid growth and expansion in the past decades.

The essays and lectures colleced in this volume focus on the relationship of the Catholic Church with the other "Abrahamic" faiths, primarily Islam and Judaism. There is also some discussion of Asian religions. This volume, in structure, loosely follows the document Nostra Aetate itself.
