CIL IV records the cursive inscriptions from the cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Stabiae and Oplontis, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79. The new supplement is dedicated in particular to the graffiti and dipinti from the towns, and includes extensive addenda and corrigenda to the inscriptions already published, numerous new finds, an index and for the first time detailed maps.
