The author describes the history of her Russian family since XIX century. Most of her ancestors lived and worked in the famous cultural capital St. Petersburg going through all troubles of the USSR, participating in 2WW, having survived even during the siege of Leningrad. It is also to share information about her own development in youth, which was very dramatic. The book contains almost 150 unique pictures and documents, stored above a hundred years in a family archive of the author.

This is the research in philosophical background of modern Hatha-Yoga schools. It was done by the author on her personal experience with many Indian Yoga teachers. The academic work was completed under the guidance of experts in Saint-Petersburg State University. First Russian edition was published by respectable 'Petersburg Oriental Studies' in 2007. Later, the book was reprinted by 'Tradition' (Moscow) in 2014.
