Present study aims to the evaluation of the microbial quality of Yamuna water at Agra region. Water samples were collected from different location of Agra city, during the period from March 2010 to June 2010. The water sample are analysed for physiochemical parameter such as temperature, TDS, turbidity and pH and were screened for contamination of Klebsiella and assessed for multiple drug resistance, which are commonly encountered in the water of Yamuna river.
