The texts were after that taken from their archive once every decade, polished, often over the course of many weeks, to be then filed away again as revised versions - thereby being turned, over the years, into a kind of hyper-edit. This collection for the first time freezes the liquid of the manuscript into a more solid form, a 2017 snapshot of it. The result, metaphorically speaking, is something of a quilt stitched together using, as patches, disparate points in time.
