The Seasoned Poets of the Blue Ridge have been meeting weekly for 23 years to study poets and poetry. This is their 12th anthology. -Poetry is Blooming in Our Corner of North Carolina- is a collection of individual thoughts which combine reverie with nostalgia, personal experience with empathy. They have a knack of ascribing meaning to things that only seem ordinary--nature, places, people, and aging which they take in stride. They illuminate life with thoughtful and often entertaining perceptions.

Just as the seasons change, so do the perspectives of the Seasoned Poets of the Blue Ridge. From potholes to pathways, the poets bring everyday objects to life with their discerning eyes. Their poetry covers the realm of life including, but not limited to, the family pet, politics, memories, and memory problems.
