This retrospective study investigated dental injuries (DIs) in 118 children and adolescents with mandibular fractures treated at Helsinki University Hospital. The aim was to assess their frequency, types, and outcomes. DIs occurred in 34.7% of patients, with an average of 3.5 injured teeth per case. In total, 142 teeth were affected, including 112 permanent and 30 deciduous. Non-complicated crown fractures were the most common injury, while avulsion was the leading cause of tooth loss.
