A new low-cost piezoelectric polymer Polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) Pressure sensor has been developed. A piezoelectric polyvinylideneflouride (PVDF) film is used in this sensor as the sensing element. The piezoelectric film generates electric potential when pressure is applied on it.
