In 1687, the jurist Anton Wilhelm Ertl published the Neo-Latin novel Austriana regina Arabiae. The novel is an allegorical treatment of the events surrounding the second Ottoman siege of Vienna starting in 1683, and it propagandizes for the House of Habsburg.
