In this study Postmortem and coprological examinations were used at Kombolcha ELFORA abattoir to assess the prevalence, economic importance due to liver condemnation, to assess the risk factors of bovine fasciolosis and to evaluate the accuracy of fecal examination.Finally, the abattoir based prevalence recorded in the study area and the loss incurred suggest that a detailed epidemiological study as well as assessment of the overall economic loss due to fasciolosis is required to implement systematic disease prevention and control methods.
