The plants, Musa sapientum and Phoenix dactylifera, have been selected on the basis of its presence in Ayurveda as well as having its many traditional uses whereas not properly and scientifically explored or reported so far. Traditionally, the plants are used against diarrhea, diabetes and menorrhagia, otalgia, haemoptysis and also used as an anthelmintic etc. Impetuses have been given on the leaves of those plants for the benefits of researchers and manufacturers of formulations made from it.
