Originally published in 1921, as part of the Cambridge Plain Texts series, this volume contains twenty pieces of prose writing by Italian critic and dramatist Gasparo Gozzi (1713 86). The pieces are all taken from the Gazzetta veneta, a bi-weekly commercial and literary paper created by Gozzi, which began publication in February 1760 and ended in January 1761.
