Rene Louis d'Argenson's ESSAYS...IN THE MANNER OF M. MONTAGNE is an English translation of his ESSAIS DANS LE GOUT DE CEUX DE MONTAGNE. The present edition is based on the American (Boston) translation of 1797.There was also a translation published in Dublin in 1789.
