Of all the attacks Hera, Queen of the Gods, could have launched against her bitter enemy Herakles, none could so thoroughly punish him for living than destroying his entire family though him. With his family's blood on his hands, the hero's self loathing has become his worst enemy, despite the growing list of contenders. Whether it is King Eurystheus of Mykenae or Augeas of Elis, Herakles's fight to honor the memory of his family is opposed by no force stronger than the agony in his own psyche.

Everyone knows something about Herakles, but more of it is hearsay than he's strictly comfortable with. Some say he's lecherous and callous, others call him an oaf, a buffoon... Behind all that, there lies a confused young man, who seeks to make something of himself. Two paths lie before him, one of leisure and sloth, or agony and glory.
