In the summer of 1863, Jose and Felipe Espinosa became Colorado's first serial killers by murdering 32 innocent white men. It is rumored that Felipe had a vision from Mother Mary, telling him to murder 100 gringos for each of the 6 family members lost in the 1847 Spanish-American war.
