Information and communication technologies have gained significant importance in the social sciences. This study presents some of the results, practices and approaches in network analysis, machine learning, data mining, data clustering and classifications in the contents of social sciences.

Rapid progress has been made in our understanding of the molecular mec hanisms of cell growth and oncogenesis during the past decade. This bo ok comprises recent results on the regulation of cell growth in normal and neoplastic tissues by growth factors including hormones, and by t he activation and inactivation of oncogenesis and tumor suppressor gen es, respectively. Special attention has been given to the presentation of the often neglected correlation between changes in signal transduc tion and metabolism pathways during oncogenesis.
