130 pages of poetry written by Corey Hamilton in the early 2000's. Some hard, some soft, some brutal, some gentle but all Hamilton. Corey started numbering his writings in 1986 and this book is made up of several poems that were written in chronological order.

"Mash Notes: Volume 1" is collection of poetry that was written between 1987 and 2005. Also included is a gruesome short story about a psychopath, a dancer, a teacher and a photography student who loves them all...sort of. None of the persons, places and events in this short story are in any way real. Any relation to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. The poetry however is just the opposite.

"Too Personal" was compiled in the same manner as my fifth book called, “Open Up”. The poetry was written from sometime just before December 31, 2004 and ends february 19, 2008. "Lonely Night Songs" contains a journal/stream of consciousness piece written about Hamilton's time working at a busy 7-11 and a pizza call centre. It also contains poetry that was all written between May and October 2008 and Hamilton's black and white photography of Edmonton street scenes at night.

"Mash Notes: Volume 2" is the companion book to the previous book, "Mash Notes: Volume." "Mash Notes: Volume 2 contains poetry as well shorty story. However the short stort in this book is a semi-autobiographical love story.
