Dr Dolittle's dogs come up with a fantastic idea to build and run an ambulance. They're so eager to please that they cause a riot as they run around Puddleby in search of a patient to try out their new ambulance on.

Dr Dolittle is forced to work in a circus to earn some money. He soon discovers the dreadful conditions the animals have to endure. When the star horse falls ill the ring master asks him to help but Dolittle drives a hard bargain.
