Matt Cooley, born in Georgia, makes his way to Central Texas after the Great War. He meets Enrique Mexia, who discovers cattle missing from his herd. Enrique thinks that a Ghost Indian around Phantom Hill maybe stealing his cattle. He employs Matt to search for an answer to the missing animals. Matt initiates a search and goes to Fort Griffin, Texas and to Los Palos, New Mexico Territory. Matt finds and deals with the perpetrators. Mexia is pleased.
