Das kulturelle Gedächtnis ist ein wichtiger Faktor für den Aufbau einer kulturellen Identität in der Gegenwart (Rosas, 2008). Die Darstellung der Figuren "Coraza" und "Chaqui Capitán" durch das Design und die Ausarbeitung der "Riesen" stellt eine Alternative dar, um die indigene Kultur der Provinz Imbabura zu fördern und an die breite Öffentlichkeit zu vermitteln.

La mémoire culturelle est un facteur important dans la construction de l'identité culturelle au présent (Rosas, 2008). C'est pourquoi la représentation du costume typique des personnages "Coraza" et "Chaqui Capitán" et leur exposition lors d'événements publics permettent de promouvoir la culture et la tradition de la province d'Imbabura. La représentation des personnages "Coraza" et "Chaqui Capitán", à travers la conception et l'élaboration des "géants", constitue une alternative pour promouvoir et transmettre la culture indigène de la province d'Imbabura au grand public.
