This research was conducted to check the various trends applied in rural and urban area schools. The major objective of this research was to compare various instructional methods of rural and urban area schools applied at secondary level to discover potential difference between them. The researcher tried to evaluate the perception of students about those instructional methods which were applied on them and also recommend which method was most suitable and accepted by students. This study was planned to facilitate teachers to apply different teacher-centered and student- centered methods to enhance pupils participation for their learning. Some research questions were formulated for this purpose and their insight regarding instructional methods was checked by questions given to each student. The research tool (SIMs) consisted on four factors having total 35 items. Data was analyzed by applying t-test to compare group results. Statistical analysis of data showed the significant difference about the perception in instructional methods of urban schools was rather batter than rural area schools.
