Each year the students of Blue Ridge School in Dalton, Georgia, celebrate poetry with their annual Writers' Conference. Students listen to a published poet discuss the writing process, illustrations and kinds of poems, and then create their own poetry. Parents join them in the evening to read and share student work. The Blue Ridge Writers' Conference is a special day and the work that students produce is also special. This book was published to share the students' work with a wider audience and publish an anthology of poems written by the students during the conference.
