Amazon EC2 and Dropbox are some of the major cloud services that have been riddled with vulnerability issues in recent times. This work explores and evaluate these giant cloud services and analyze their vulnerabilities and the impacts they proffer on individuals and businesses in terms of data security and privacy. It probes into the existing mitigation methods that have been proposed and are being implemented on the services. It tests to see if these methods will hold out, and it finally proposes new and better ways of suppressing these vulnerabilities.
