Pour stériliser les pois chiches, une dose gamma optimisée à 2 kGy a été administrée. Les microbes détectés sur les échantillons de pois chiches étaient Bacillus subtillis, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pyogenes et Staphylococcus aureus, ce qui a été confirmé par des bandelettes API.
