Kinetic is Michael Ayres' third collection. It displays a distinct evolution from the poetry of its predecessor, the epic and turbulent a.m. Embodied largely in short, lyrical poems, language in Kinetic shimmers with images of love and of lovers caught up in a world of intensifying change and restless motion. Michael Ayres was born in Nottingham in 1958, and has lived in Dorset, Leicestershire and Cleveland.
