It is expected that an estimated one in six white men and one in five Black men would be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, with the likelihood increasing with age. The American Cancer Society had estimated that 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer would be diagnosed in 2023. Rare prostate cancers do portend a more aggressive biological behaviour with inferior prognosis.
