Die dreizehn Beitrage dieses Tagungsbandes widmen sich dem Generalthema der Kontinuitaten und Diskontinuitaten im literarischen Feld zwischen Aufklarung und Weimarer Klassik. Im literaturwissenschaftlichen Zugriff auf Texte u.a. von Lessing, Wieland, Herder, Schiller, Goethe und Moritz wird problematisiert, wie Denkmuster der Aufklarung im Medium der Literatur sowie des theoretischen Diskurses (Asthetik) entfaltet und im historischen Konstellationsrahmen der Weimarer Klassik affirmativ aufgenommen, polemisch revidiert und konstruktiv weitergefuhrt werden.
