Their task crosses paths with a marginalized militant arm of the American Indian Movement as well as those harboring vestiges of the hatred of the mid-Sixties youth "peace" movement. Violence and murder focus attention on the perceived value of the Quarry's materials as time to save the sacred Lakota shrine dwindles.
